When I first began my career, I never imagined I would end up being involved in a digital agency. Teaching has always been my first love; there’s something truly special about watching a young person grasp a new concept and grow in their confidence. For years, I thrived on helping students achieve their potential, guiding them through challenges, and celebrating their victories. So how did I make the leap from teaching to running a digital agency? It wasn't a sudden shift, but rather a natural evolution. One that I never saw coming, yet in hindsight, feels like the perfect extension of who I am and what I love to do.
Finding Purpose Beyond the Classroom
As a teacher, you become intimately familiar with helping people grow. You see potential in your students that they don’t even see in themselves, and you do everything you can to help them realize it. It’s a rewarding job, but there came a point where I wanted to take this ability to empower others outside the classroom.
"I loved teaching, but there was a part of me that wanted to reach more people, help them in a different way, and tackle new challenges," I often tell friends who ask how I transitioned to owning a digital agency.. The digital world fascinated me because of the endless opportunities it provides. As more businesses shifted their focus online, I began to notice something: so many people had incredible ideas, services, and products, but they struggled with one crucial piece—their digital presence.

The Catalyst Moment: Seeing the Need
As the world continued to shift to digital, I noticed something alarming. Many brilliant, hardworking people and businesses were being left behind simply because they didn’t know how to navigate the digital landscape. Websites, social media, online marketing—these things can feel overwhelming to people who aren’t familiar with them.
I saw this firsthand when a close friend came to me, frustrated about her business. She had poured her heart into her work but wasn’t seeing the growth she’d hoped for. When I took a look at her online presence, I realized that she wasn’t being seen. Her website was outdated, her social media was sporadic, and she wasn’t utilizing any digital marketing strategies. But her passion and potential were undeniable.
It was then that I realized: people like her needed help—not just with their businesses, but with showing up in the digital world in a way that truly reflects their hard work and talent. That was the spark for me. "I thought, I’ve been helping people achieve their goals for years as a teacher, why not use my skills to help businesses do the same?"
From Education to Digital Empowerment
I’ve always believed that education is about empowerment, and when you think about it, digital marketing and branding are no different. It’s about helping people understand their value and communicate it effectively to the world. The shift from teaching to running a digital agency didn’t feel so foreign after all; I was still helping people, just in a different context.
For me, creating a digital agency was about filling a gap that I saw every day—small businesses, entrepreneurs, and even individuals with incredible potential who just didn’t know how to tell their story in the online space. And if there’s one thing I know from teaching, it’s that the way you tell your story matters. Whether you’re writing an essay, crafting a LinkedIn post, or designing a website, how you present yourself can make all the difference.
"I wanted to give people the tools and confidence to present themselves in the digital world in a way that aligns with who they are and what they offer," I often explain when people ask about the agency’s mission. Just like I used to guide students through complex subjects, now I guide businesses through the sometimes confusing world of digital marketing.
Building a Team with Heart
Starting the agency was one thing, but growing it into a successful business took time. One of the most important steps was building a team that shared my vision. I didn’t just want marketers or designers; I wanted people who were passionate about helping others, who cared about their work, and who saw their clients as more than just a paycheck.
"I wanted to create a team that, like me, found joy in helping others succeed." That’s been a guiding principle in every hiring decision. We work with our clients the same way I worked with my students—with patience, care, and a true desire to see them succeed.
One of the things I love most about this work is that it still feels very much like teaching. Every time we launch a new project for a client, whether it’s a website, social media campaign, or branding strategy, we are essentially educating them on how to show up in the world and put their best foot forward. And just like in the classroom, when a client sees success—whether it’s more traffic, more sales, or just feeling more confident in their online presence—it’s a victory for all of us.
Helping Others Achieve Their Dreams
At the heart of everything we do is the desire to help others achieve their dreams. Whether it’s a small business looking to expand, an entrepreneur trying to build a brand, or a non-profit wanting to spread their message, our goal is to give them the digital tools and strategies they need to succeed.
"I wake up every day excited about the work we’re doing because I know it’s making a difference," I often tell people. There’s something incredibly fulfilling about helping others grow their businesses and watching them achieve success. It reminds me so much of those moments in the classroom when a student finally grasps a concept they’ve been struggling with. It’s that same sense of pride and accomplishment.
A Personal Journey of Growth
Starting this agency has also been a journey of personal growth for me. It’s pushed me out of my comfort zone in many ways—learning the ins and outs of running a business, managing a team, and keeping up with the fast-paced digital world. But I’ve always believed in leading by example, and if I’m asking my clients to take bold steps and embrace new strategies, I have to be willing to do the same.
Looking back, I’m grateful for the path that led me here. Teaching gave me the skills and passion for helping others, and running this digital agency has allowed me to continue that work in a new and exciting way. The best part? The journey is just beginning, and I can’t wait to see where it takes us next.
In the end, creating this digital agency wasn’t just about business—it was about continuing to do what I’ve always loved: helping others achieve their goals and reach their full potential.
